城里人都疯了吗?这样的话,谁听了都不会当真,偏偏狗熊就信,而且一下子就信了。明明是谎言,狗熊为什么就听不出来呢?故事一开头就让我们知道,他打心底里非常在乎打扮,他为了进城把自己装扮得漂漂亮亮的,他本来心里就在担心这身打扮落后于城里人。对于乌鸦的离奇而又出格的谎话,或说是戏言,这只狗熊也许别的时候不信,而这个时候——进城显示他的气派、着眼于在打扮上“给人留下深刻的印象”的时候,就相信了。说到底,是盲目跟风、追逐时尚的虚荣心让狗熊失去了理性的判断。

注: 'cause即because,是很流行的缩略讲法。

杀害哈利波特父母的邪魔,名字以V起首,他是谁呢?

《哈利波特》电影中小哈利追问巨无霸海格(Hagrid)自己的身世。海格答道:A few years ago there was one wizard who went as bad as you can go. And his name was V...His name was v...(几年前,有一个巫师走火入魔,邪得无以复加。他的名字是伏……。他的名字是伏……。)

注:海格本欲说出杀哈利波特父母的大仇家,但没有胆量,于是期期艾艾,欲语还休。大家必须记得,省略号(ellipsis marks/suspension points)是汉六英三,即中文用六点,英文用三点。

此时小哈利知道巨无霸不敢说出大魔头的名字,于是提议说:Maybe if you wrote it down.(也许你就写下来吧。)

注:巨无霸没有写,哈利却用Write的过去式。那是惯用法(idiomatic expression),亦委婉语(euphemism)。

女作家罗琳(J K Rowling)写的《哈利波特》小说中,巨无霸海格受的教育不多,因而谈吐豪迈,不拘小节,说的往往不是正规英语。家长指导小孩子读英文原著时宜加留意。

兹举一例,引自第一集八十一页Bloomsbury版本:Told yeh,didn't I? Told yeh you was famous.

按方法you 字后决不能用was,过去式得用were。他把you说成yeh是发音不准。 J K Rowling这样写是为了凸显海格读书不多。

哈利波特追问凶手是谁时,海格说:No, I can't spell it.(不行,我不懂拼那字。)

罗琳塑造巨无霸海格不但语文蹩脚,拼字也不懂。他只好接着说:Alright, Voldemort.(好,我讲,伏地魔!)

哈利波特听见真凶名字,怔了一下。哈利: Voldemort?(伏地魔?)

原来杀害哈利波特父母的凶手是魔界一流高手伏地魔Voldemort!

心地善良的巨无霸海格恐大魔头听见哈利波特尖声叫出他的名字,立刻劝小哈利别作声: Sh, Sh.(嘘。)

注:Sh是hush的缩略语,示意对方不要张声高叫。

电影毕竟和小说不一样,多了影像声响,观众可以从演员的造型与谈吐体会角色。

编剧导演塑造巨无霸海格的角色十分成功。我们一看就知道他虽然性格粗犷、读书不多,但心地善良、不拘小节。

且听海格怎样告诉哈利波特(Harry Potter)伏地魔(Voldemort)杀他父母的原委。

海格:It was dark times, Harry, dark times.(那是黑暗时期,哈利,黑暗时期。)

注:同学们宜观摩句中片语动词(phrasal verbs)stand up to与end up的用法,翻词典查其他释义,然后造两三个句子,掌握一词多义(polysemous)的用法。

一、猴子和渔夫 The Monkey and the Fishermen

Once upon a time, there lived a monkey in the woods. The monkey climbed up the tree and looked down at the river everyday.

从前,树林里有一只猴子。每天猴子都会爬上树看下面的小河。

One day, the monkey saw fishermen throw a net over the river. He watched how the fishermen caught fish.

一天,猴子看见渔夫在河上扔了一个网。他看着渔夫怎么捕鱼。

Sometime after, the fishermen left the net and went to have lunch. Then, the monkey climbed down from the tree and went to the riverside. The monkey was planning to throw the net like the fishermen did.

5. 两只靴子的故事读后感

1.拨子:一头扁平,一头尖。可以用旧牙刷柄或竹片等制作,是雕塑细部如面部五官等的主要工具。

2.小剪刀:用来剪出面人的手指等。

二、面塑制作的基本技法制作时一般以右手握工具制作,左手的大拇指和其他四指配合,左手掌心为操作台。

2.用拨子尖头在面部按压出一条深沟作为眼的位置。

3.用少许黑色面搓圆再按扁,用拨子宽头碾平刮下月牙型细线,用拨子尖头挑起嵌在深沟的上沿上方作为眉毛。

4.用少许黑色面和白色面各搓成细圆条,并列贴在一起,刮下一小段嵌在深沟内作眼珠,眼珠的上下沿可以嵌贴上一条肉色的眼皮,做法同做眉毛相同。

5.用拨子尖头沿两眼中间向下方插入面中往上挑出鼻子的形状,再搓成肉色小圆锥塞入鼻子空隙,把挑出的小洞填上。再用拨子尖头点出两个鼻孔。

6.以少许红色面搓成细条,用拨子尖头做出嘴唇,嵌在鼻子下面,再用毛笔或棉球蘸少许朱红色将面孔两颊轻轻涂匀,整个面孔就做好了。

7.头发用黑色面搓成条状,用大拇指碾成薄片,用小木梳轻划一下后,用拨子挑起贴在头上即可。

8.把蓝、白两种色面各搓成条状,并列一起再搓成绳状后用大拇指压成薄片,贴在头上方作为帽子。把红色面碾成薄片,用拨子拨出一个圆球作为按放在帽子顶部,把白色面搓成条状围在帽子下沿,帽子就全部做好了。

9.做四肢:把肉色面搓成圆条状,再把一块黄色面先搓成条状再放到左手掌上,右手把它压成薄片状包在肉色面上,一头留出手的位置,另一头横按在身躯上端。下肢是把圆柱形蓝色面从中间对折后,竖着按在身躯下端。

10.做手脚:先捏出手掌和大拇指形状后,用剪刀把手掌剪出其余四指,则左手就做好了。右手的手套用红色面捏成薄片包在右手上,捏出大拇指和手掌即可。靴子用黑色面包在两只脚上捏出脚的大体形状即可。

11.做上衣:把黄色面压成薄片后包在身躯上端,与上肢密合后,再把左手臂向上方折起。

12.用红色面做一条围巾围在脖子上,面人的动态即完成了。

13.做装饰物:(1)做糖葫芦,把深红色的面做几个圆球穿在一根细竹签上放在左手掌内,另一端插入面人上身内。(2)做口袋和一只手套贴在相应的位置上。手套上的连线可以用白色的面搓成细线,用拨子挑起后贴在相应的位置上。(3)鞋底可以用白色面做成,贴在鞋底上即可。
